Prenatal Pilates

ALL TRIMESTERS & LEVELS WELCOME

Celebrate your pregnancy!! This class will leave you feeling more fit and comfortable than ever. Pregnancy is a state of health – optimize your enjoyment during these few months with Neomama Prenatal Pilates to support you and your baby. Benefits include improved posture and comfort, increased strength and flexibility in all the right areas, fine-tuned body awareness and core stability, and above all relaxation and breath to ease delivery. Prepare yourself for one of the most gentle, yet effective pre-natal fitness classes available. Oh, and you get to meet other hip neomamas.

Please consult with your Midwife or Health Care Provider prior to attending class. No experience necessary.

Mom & Baby Pilates / Infant Massage

ALL LEVELS WELCOME

This playful class is gentle, yet challenging. It allows new moms to participate with their babies while learning Pilates blended with Yoga. Restore core strength and proper posture. Pilates and Yoga are proven as safe and effective ways to help new moms rejuvenate, recondition, and realign the post pregnancy body. Return to your pre-pregnancy shape (or better!) through inspired breath and movement. A portion of this class is dedicated to baby massage, movements and stretches. Benefits from Infant Massage include better sleep, digestion and improved immune function. Above all, attending this class is a fantastic opportunity to meet other Neomama moms and babies in your community.

No Pilates experience necessary. Please have your Midwife’s or Health Care Provider’s approval before starting this class.

For Moms: 4 weeks post-delivery or
6 weeks post-cesarean

For Babies: One month – pre crawling

Mat Pilates

ALL LEVELS WELCOME

Pilates exercises develop and maintain core stability, while increasing flexibility. With an effective regular practice, Pilates will help elongate and tone the whole body. This class introduces resistance and stability props to the basic Pilates exercises. Great for those new moms who want to bring their workout to the next level and improve their posture.

Note: This is a baby free co-ed class.

Baby Massage Workshop

For parents & caregivers of new babies (1 month old to pre-crawling age). Bond with your baby, while learning some great massage techniques. Benefits from Infant Massage include better sleep, digestion and improved immune function. You will learn a massage sequence for the legs, tummy, chest, arms, face and back, a special colic routine and some simple baby stretches and movements. You will also learn what oils to use & how to create a suitable environment, follow your baby’s cues, massage safely and adapt the massage as your baby grows. You will be the only one massaging your baby – the instructor uses a demonstration doll. If your baby was premature, or has any other special requirements, please let us know at the time of booking. Also, twins are welcome to join the Neomama Baby Massage Workshop! One set of twins per course can be accomodated at no extra charge. As well a helper may accompany you to this course. All you need to bring is a medium sized towel and a baby blanket… and of course your baby! Dress comfortably in layers (room is comfortably warm for babies receiving massage). Sample oils and hand outs provided.
